This Privacy Policy explains how FixUp ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the FixUp mobile app and related services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of data:

• Account information: phone number, social login identifiers (Google/Facebook/Apple), and basic profile details.
• Profile information: name, date of birth, gender preferences, bio, photos, and optional profile fields.
• Connection data: friend requests, friend lists, invite code data, and match/fix-up activity.
• Content and communications: chat metadata and messages you send in the app.
• Contact data: if you allow contacts permission, we process contact phone/email values to match existing users.
• Usage and technical data: app events, crash logs, device and session information needed for security and performance.
• Approximate location/profile location label if you provide it in your profile.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide and operate core app features (sign up, login, profile, friends, recommendations, chat, fix-up requests).
• Show relevant profiles and reduce abuse, spam, and duplicate or fraudulent activity.
• Maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability and product quality.
• Respond to support requests and legal obligations.

3. Legal Bases and Consent

We process data where needed to provide the service, based on your consent (for optional permissions), and where required for legitimate interests such as service integrity and abuse prevention.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service providers used to run the app (for example Firebase services for authentication, database, storage, and functions).
• Social sign-in providers you choose (Google, Facebook, Apple), according to your selected login method.
• Legal authorities when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety.

5. Data Retention

We retain data as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal, security, and operational requirements. If you request deletion, we remove or anonymize data unless retention is required by law.

6. Your Choices

• You can edit profile fields in the app.
• You can control certain visibility and search settings in the app.
• You can revoke OS-level permissions (contacts, photos, notifications) from device settings.

8. Children's Privacy

FixUp is not intended for users under the minimum age allowed by our service policy. If you believe a minor used the service improperly, contact us and we will review and remove the account as appropriate.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised "Last updated" date.
